Sumpio Talks Wine at Cave Hill

Yale University Professor, Bauer Sumpio, one of the best-known vascular scientists in the world, will talk wine at the Cave Hill Campus.
Professor Sumpio will have a busy week on the island when he visits from Thursday, March 1st until the 8th, the main event being a public lecture in the lecture theatre, Faculty of Medical Sciences. There, he will address the topic “Wine as Medicine”, where he will highlight the beneficial effects of antioxidants found in red wine on vascular health. His presentation will also address many other nutrition-related things about protecting one’s health. Samples of wine will be served at this event.
Professor Sumpio, after whom the Vascular Laboratory at the Yale University is named, is a brilliant lecturer, very funny and also informative. He was born in New York but spent his childhood in Trinidad where both his parents worked as doctors. For several years he was awarded “The Doctor of the Year” in New York and is an extremely popular personality on television and radio shows in the US.
The lecture takes place today, Friday, March 2 at 6:00 p.m. in the Lecture Theatre of the Facutly of Medical Sciences Teaching Complex.
