For Release Upon Receipt - Tuesday, January 10, 2012
Barbados will be participating again this year in the World Economic Forum’s Executive Opinion Survey on Global Competitiveness. The survey remains the largest poll of its kind and gains the insight of 13,500 executives from 142 countries worldwide. Executives from a cross section of businesses participate in the survey, which provides the backbone of the Global Competiveness Report. The report is a representative annual measure of the nation’s economic environment and its ability to achieve sustained growth. The survey is administered internationally through the office in Geneva, Switzerland and in Barbados through the Partner Institute of the Sir Arthur Lewis Institute of Social and Economic Studies (SALISES) at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus. The chosen executives have the option of completing the survey on line.
